Navigate Nahuel Huapi Lake through its most imposing arm

sailing out of Puerto Pañuelo, on the Llao Llao peninsula. This excursion It proposes to you to know, along one hour of navigation, the islet Centinela, where rest the remains of Perito Francisco Pascasio Moreno (father of the Parks Nationals in Argentina), to then reach the Cascada de los Cántaros. 

Then, way up, you can enter the lush vegetation of the Valdivian jungle, reach the Lake Cántaros (birthplace of the waterfall) and there enjoy the presence forceful of a larch with more than 1,500 years. With only five more minutes of navigation you finally arrive at Puerto Blest, a place that has amazed for years tourists who visit it from the most diverse parts of the world. From there, you can tour the bay and know the margins of Frías Lake, whose peculiar green waters, come from one of the glaciers of Cerro Tronador, the natural boundary between Argentina and Chile.

Cold Lake Extension

Duration: Full day.

Departure day: Every day of the year.

Departure time from the centre: from 8:30 hours, returning at 18:00 hours approximately.

This extension of the excursion departs from Puerto Blest. They travel 3 km by bus to Porto Alegre. From there, a modern boat is taken to navigate the Cold Lake.  The particular green colour of its waters is due to tiny rock particles sprayed from the friction of the glacier with the walls of Cerro Tronador. Its imposing white summit stands out among the wooded landscape, view that can only be appreciated from the boat. After sailing about 20 minutes you will arrive at Puerto Cold, close to the limit with Chile, where you stay a few minutes and the reverse travel to Puerto Pañuelo.
